Zelong HAI is a PhD candidate in the School of International Studies, Peking University. His research interests encompass international politics, Asia-Pacific Security, and cross-Strait relations. Since beginning postgraduate studies at PU in 2009, he has collaborated on multiple research projects, including National Social Sciences Fund projects, the National Ministry’s “key topics,” and others. He has published a monograph as second author, in addition to several scholarly articles. The paper he submitted for this year’s Young Scholars Forum is part of his doctoral thesis, which treats the Diaoyu Islands dispute.
