William YALE is an adjunct fellow at the American Security Project and a research associate at the SAIS Foreign Policy Institute (FPI). He has previously worked at the U.S. Naval War College and the State Department. He graduated from Johns Hopkins SAIS with an MA in Strategic Studies and International Economics, and a BA from Trinity College (Hartford, CT) in Public Policy & Law. He attended the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, in addition to a year of language study in Beijing at Beijing Foreign Studies University and Minzu University of China.
YALE is an Eagle Scout, Quest Scholar, and a recipient of a National Military Intelligence Foundation Scholarship, Freeman Foundation Fellowship, Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and Fulbright-Hays GPA Scholarship. He also volunteers on the board of the Center for International Maritime Security (CIMSEC) as the director of operations.
