Bo Ma is a research fellow at the China Center of South China Sea Studies at Nanjing University.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Beijing Normal University, master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, master’s degree in International Relations from New York University, and a PhD in Political Science from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York (CUNY).
Ma’s research interests are Chinese IR theories/foreign policy, Sino-U.S. relations and public international law with a focus on territorial disputes in the South China Sea.
His works have appeared in the Journal of East-European and Asian Studies, Journal of US-China Public Administration, CEU Political Science Journal and various academic journals in China. Ma is currently working on publishing his PhD dissertation on Chinese national identity and foreign policy.
