Andrea GHISELLI is an Italian PhD candidate at Fudan University under the guidance of Professor Zhimin CHEN. In addition, he is a non-resident research assistant in the China-Mediterranean Region program of the Torino World Affairs Institute (T.wai). He also collaborates with thinkINchina, a platform created to bring together Chinese experts, foreign young researchers and students in an informal environment to boost the exchange of ideas and create networking opportunities. Recently, he participated in the first edition of the European China Talent Program organized by the Mercator Institute for China Studies in Berlin. His research interests include China’s Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTWs) and the China-Middle East/North Africa regional relationship. Before enrolling at Fudan University, he gained his Master’s Degree in International Relations at Peking University. During the same period, he worked as a trainee at the Regional Security Office of the Delegation of the European Union in Beijing. Besides speaking Italian and English, he is also fluent in Chinese.
